Substitute Teacher 2026-2027

Hermiston School District is seeking qualified applicants to serve on-call as a substitute teacher. The successful candidates willwork on-callperforming teaching duties within the Hermiston School District. Oregon Teacher license or the ability to obtain one required.

Hermiston School Districts Substitute Teacher pay for 2026-2027 will be:

Pending Board July 13 2026 approval/ full day

Pending Board July 13 2026 approval /half day

To be eligible for an Oregon Substitute Teaching license the applicant must:

• Hold a Bachelors degree or higher from a regionally-accredited institution in the United States or hold a foreign equivalent degree as approved by the Oregon licensing commission Teacher Standards and Practices (official transcripts required)

• Must be able to successfully pass a fingerprint based background clearance check.

If you do not hold a Bachelors degree but are currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree Teacher Education/Licensure program there is a District Sponsored Substitute license available.
