Our School Nurses play a vital role in supporting the health safety and success of students each day. Our nursing team works collaboratively with students families staff and community healthcare providers to help ensure students are healthy supported and ready to learn.

School nurses in the Sioux Falls School District do far more than care for bumps and bruises they provide compassionate care manage student health needs promote wellness respond to emergencies and build trusted relationships that help students thrive academically socially and emotionally.

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• valid South Dakota Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum of 3 years nursing experience preferably in pediatrics and/or community health.
• Experience working with diabetes seizures tracheostomies and other childhood medical conditions desired.

The subtitute school nurse must have availablity and flexibility to work when called Mon-Fri between 7:30am - 4:00pm (often the day of the need).

Assignments may be in any school across the district working with a variety of student needs.

PAY INFORMATION

Rate:$36.42 per hour

Pay Day: Last working day of each monthbased on thepayroll cutoff schedule.

HOURS & FTE

Monday through Fridaymay be called as early as 6:30 am with coverage from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
