Substation CAD Technician

What Youll Do:

• Create and revise substation design drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Develop physical layouts plan and elevation views equipment arrangements grounding plans and structural drawings.
• Prepare construction drawing packages and incorporate engineering markups.
• Develop steel detailing and foundation drawings for substation equipment and structures.
• Coordinate with engineers designers and project teams to ensure design accuracy.
• Maintain drafting standards and quality control procedures.
• Support project schedules by producing deliverables on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting Design Technology Engineering Technology or related field.
• 2 years of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drafting experience.
• AutoCAD 3D is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Substation physical layout drafting experience.
