Position: Sub LRE Paraprofessional

Location: Star Elementary

Job Summary:

The Hastings Area School System is seeking an internal candidate for a Part-Time Sub LRE para position

under the HESPA agreement.

Duties may include (but are not limited to):

Provide academic support to students with IEPs within the general education

setting.

Reinforce teacher-directed instruction through small-group or individualized

support.

Assist students in accessing grade-level curriculum by clarifying directions

adapting materials as directed and promoting independence.

Support implementation of accommodations and modifications as outlined in

students IEPs.

Collect data on student progress toward goals at the direction of the special

education teacher.

Implement positive behavior support strategies and reinforcement systems as

directed.

Assist students in developing self-regulation communication and

social-emotional skills.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff and students Experience

working with children especially students with disabilities preferred. Ability to

follow instructional plans collect data and support student needs. Strong

communication collaboration and problem-solving skills
