Job Description:

The Student Worker assists Graphic Design faculty and the Lab Manager with the daily operation organization and maintenance of the Graphic Design digital lab and studio spaces.
The student should be dependable punctual organized able to follow instructions and comfortable managing multiple tasks. The students work schedule is 10 hours per week (max) and is dependent on students availability and class schedule. Duties are assigned
by the Professor and Lab Manager and may include but are not limited to the following:

• 
  Assist with the general organization maintenance and upkeep of the Graphic Design digital lab and studio spaces.

• 
  Help maintain a clean organized and functional digital lab environment.

• 
  Assist faculty with preparing materials equipment and spaces for class demonstrations presentations and instructional activities.

• 
  Hang and arrange student work in hallways and designated exhibition areas.

• 
  Create print and install labels for student work and exhibitions.

• 
  Assist with preparing and organizing materials for critiques demonstrations exhibitions and other departmental activities.

• 
  Provide general office studio and instructional assistance including filing copying and other related tasks.

• 
  Assist with various projects activities or tasks as assigned by the Professor or Lab Manager.

• 
  Communicate professionally with faculty staff students and visitors.

• 
  Follow University policies and procedures as well as established guidelines for the use and care of studio and digital lab facilities and equipment.

• 
  Maintain regular and punctual attendance and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

• 
  Maintain confidentiality of information when appropriate.

Qualifications/Expectations

• 
  The student worker will be trained on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
• 
  Interest or experience in graphic design studio art or a related field.
• 
  Basic familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and digital design workflows preferred.
• 
  Ability to work independently while also following faculty and Lab Manager instructions.
• 
  Ability to safely and responsibly use studio and digital lab equipment.
• 
  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
