Student Worker Research (Occupational Therapy)

GENERAL SUMMARYThe principal duty of a Student Worker Research Assistant is to contribute to the research process under supervision of a lead faculty on an identified research agenda. The research may be related to a specific faculty research project grant application journal article or other research activities. The required services will contribute to the professional training of the student. Appointment to this position is usually made only in the students own department or in another unit of the University where the research to be undertaken is related to the students field of study. Appropriate service for an advanced research assistant may include the carrying out of evidence-based searches data collection and/or data entry under the guidance of a faculty member these tasks may require DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCompletion of training for protection of research subjectsReview the previous work on the assigned research agenda compile and enter data into Excel Access or SPSSdistribute collect and enter survey data as evidence-based searches on indicated assist faculty by participating in scheduling and helping distribute lab may include assisting with the consent process email communication document organization and storageComplete literature review and create an annotated bibliography of the relevant articlesProofread and make necessary edits to research documents to ensure accuracyOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to IN ORGANIZATIONReports to: Faculty LeadPositions Supervised: Not applicableTECHNICAL MANAGERIAL & PEOPLE SKILLS REQUIREDTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
