Student Work-Study Kokomo Rescue Mission

Federal Work-Study positions are part-time positions hired each semester and are for current Ivy Tech students.

The Community Service Retail Warehouse & Facilities Assistant will support Kokomo Rescue Missions community-service operations. The student will gain practical experience in customer service donation processing inventory management warehouse operations facilities support and professional workplace practices while helping the organization serve individuals and families throughout the community.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist customers and donors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Receive sort tag display and restock donated merchandise.
• Organize inventory supplies storage areas and workspaces.
• Assist with approved loading unloading and material-handling tasks.
• Help maintain clean safe and orderly retail warehouse and facility areas.
• Support basic administrative tasks including filing data entry and record organization.
• Assist with approved community events outreach activities and special projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Starting Salary: $18.00 per hour

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Office-related courses and Experience Preferred
• Up to 15 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling based on class schedules and organizational needs.
• Some evenings or weekends may be available depending on projects and events.

Minimum Federal Work Study Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Student must have completed the current FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
• Must be enrolled in at least 1 credit hour of eligible courses.
• Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.
• The student cannot have any incomplete financial aid requirements.
