Job Summary

Position Type: Student Teacher

Location: District-Wide TBD

Start: for the 2026-2027 School Year

Salary: Not a salaried position UNLESS identified as a teacher of record or a residency teacher.

Benefits Include a school-based Health Center a Paid Substitute license and free housing for student teachers who partner with our student teaching housing program.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have a Sub Authorization License
  • Link to become a substitute teacher: the requirements listed at the Colorado Department of Education
  • A positive individual with a neat clean appearance; a pleasant courteous demeanor
  • Ability to ask questions and work with a team
  • Ability to read write and speak in order to comply with directions and instructions complete tasks and establish priorities.
  • Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members students and the public
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Follow lesson plans as left by the educator and work collaboratively with the teacher in planning
  • Follow university expectations
  • Follow district policies and procedures
  • Manage the classroom and keep students safe
  • Follow guidelines as shared by the cooperating teacher and principal
