Job Description
THIS POSITION IS CATEGORICALLY FUNDED POSITION CONTINGENT UPON CONTINUED FUNDING AND BOARD APPROVAL BASIC FUNCTION : Under the direction of the area administrator Student Success Support Program ( SSSP ) Specialist is responsible for assisting in support related programs components and activities; assists in the planning coordination implementation and delivery of support programs and services associated with the college plans including the college Student Success and Support Program ( SSSP ) plan; assists in planning and coordinating of SSSP MIS reporting follow-up and retention activities for at-risk students including those on probation and dismissal.
Physical Demands
ENVIRONMENT : Typical office environment Subject to constant interruptions PHYSICAL ABILITIES : Communicating to exchange information Reading various materials Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard Sitting for extended periods of time Bending at the waist kneeling or crouching Drive to required sites Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Lifting moderately heavy objects.
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Any combination equivalent to: a Bachelors Degree in a related field and two years of experience in student services on a college campus or in a community agency that provides comparable services to students or diverse community members.
