JOB SUMMARY

The Stage Crew (Student Worker) supports all the technical needs of any event presented in

the auditorium. This includes any staging lighting sound design and equipment needs for any show or presentation.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

All positions require selected candidates that are 18 years or older to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a criminal background check.Additional minimum required qualifications for this position are:

  1. Ability to follow safety practices and procedures
  2. Availability to work during weekday evenings and weekends as needed
  3. Knowledge of lighting audio or set construction and basic power tools
  4. Ability to roll push pull bend reach stoop and lift up to 50 pounds
  5. Must be a current district high school student that attends the school at which they will be employed
  6. Speak read write and present professionally analyze and interpret English written and verbal communications


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Job-related experience
  2. Knowledge of safety protocols for rigging and scenic
  3. Previous theatre experience (school plays technical theatre classes etc.)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work with lighting design light board operation rigging physical setup and patching
  2. Operate sound board light board assist with basic light design EQ adjustments patching and digital mixing for live shows
  3. Assist with scene changes props and run the fly system during live performances
  4. Operate set construction tools stage equipment setup and storage equipment
  5. Maintain and organize auditorium and theatrical equipment
  6. Ensure backstage areas are safe
  7. Attend production meetings as needed
  8. Communicate effectively with diverse individuals and groups of people while maintaining confidentiality and building positive working relationships with employees and stakeholders
  9. Work under limited supervision utilizing time-management and prioritization strategies accurately processing detailed information and meeting deadlines
  10. Support a team environment by collaborating with own and other work units to effectively perform the duties of the position
  11. Adapt to changing work priorities and work with frequent interruptions as required
  12. Maintain regular and predictable attendance to fulfill job requirements efficiently and effectively
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
