Student Refai Research Assistant

The Research Assistant supports faculty and research staff in the execution of grant-funded research projects. Responsibilities may include data collection data entry and analysis literature reviews administrative support and other research-related activities. This position provides students with hands-on research experience while contributing to the successful completion of project objectives.

• Assist with research activities as directed by the Principal Investigator or project team.
• Conduct literature reviews and summarize research findings.
• Collect organize and maintain research data and project records.
• Enter data into databases spreadsheets and other research systems.
• Assist with data analysis and preparation of reports presentations and research materials.
• Support project administration including scheduling meetings and maintaining documentation.
• Ensure compliance with university policies grant requirements and research protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality of research data and sensitive information.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the research project.

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.

• Previous research experience.
• Experience with data analysis statistical software or research databases.
• Coursework related to the research subject area.

• Position may involve office laboratory field or remote work depending on project needs.
• Work schedule is flexible and coordinated with the students academic commitments and project requirements.
