    WORK DAYS:240 days (11 months) -240 Day Work Year Calendar

    Monday - Friday 8 hours/day 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.

    SALARY:Range 24 salary placement from $23.94 to $30.55 hourly

    Salary prorated based on start date and prior experience.

    TITLE: STUDENT RECORDS SPECIALIST HIGH SCHOOL
    SALARY RANGE: 24

    JOB SUMMARY
    Upper level position under general supervision to maintain student records and schedules on computer and assist in high school schedule building.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Required:
    1. High school graduation or its equivalent.
    2. Three years of clerical work with at least one year of experience with scheduling programs similar to SASI or Aeries.
    3. Knowledge of current office practices and procedures including microcomputers.
    4. Ability to spell correctly and use good English grammar; type at a speed of 50 words per minute and accurately operate 10- key calculator;
    understand and carry out oral and written instructions; interpret data processing procedures; work calmly and accurately under pressure and
    with frequent interruptions; establish and maintain effective relationships.
    5. Knowledge of Microsoft office program.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    1. Enroll all new students. Maintain student records data base including data entry into student services modules of scheduling testing
    grading transcripts and student demographics.
    2. Prepare transcripts upon request.
    3. Evaluate all incoming students transcripts linking their grade histories to Aeries.
    4. Review 12th grade final transcripts for graduation status.
    5. Post SAT & ACT scores and Golden State and CSF information on final transcripts.
    6. Create and maintain student graduation competency exam status data files.
    7. Be responsible for all student scheduling clerical operations.
    8. Order receive and distribute all data output from the data processing center.
    9. Compute grade point averages for Cal Grant applicants.
    10. Order distribute collect check and correct grade scan sheets and grade correction sheets.
    11. Direct preparation of information/scheduling packets mailed to all students in August.
    12. Instruct train and monitor new personnel in the use of the Aeries program.
    13. Troubleshoot computer terminal printer and communications equipment problems for high school administrative offices.
    14. Coordinate student data processing timelines/deadlines and calendars with counseling and administrative staff.
    15. Direct clerical assistant.
    16. Assist administration and counseling in planning of student scheduling.

    17. Design prepare and process all scheduling forms.
    18. Maintain Master Course Catalog for grades 7-12.

    19. Proofread Registration Guide and 8th Grade Planning Book to coordinate all course information.

    20. Enter and maintain master schedule for AGHS and summer school. Assist Summer School Principal as needed with scheduling.
    21. Answer questions from parents outside agencies and school personnel regarding student records.

    22. Direct the purging and microfilming of student records.
    23. Maintain cum folders of all active and inactive students.

    24. Assist staff with Aeries questions and problems.
    25. Process early grads.
    26. Coordinate and calendar all data functions with Technical Services.
    27. Collect data for several sections of CBEDS report.
    28. Assist Technical Services as needed in troubleshooting software problems.

    29. Perform other duties as required.

    5. Ability to communicate so others will clearly understand normal conversation.

    8. Physical dexterity in limbs and digits to operate computers.
