Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Wynbrook Baptist Church in Columbus GA as they search for their next Student Pastor. Wynnbrook Baptist Church exists to offer real hope for real needs by restoring lives and families through biblical teaching authentic community intentional discipleship and local and global outreach. As a Southern Baptist congregation the church seeks to provide a welcoming environment where people of all ages can grow in their faith build meaningful relationships and serve Christ together.

The Student Pastor at Wynnbrook Baptist Church provides vision leadership and oversight for the churchs student ministry college ministry and young adult ministry while equipping volunteers partnering with parents and developing the next generation of Christ-centered leaders. Reporting directly to the Senior Pastor this individual is responsible for creating a sustainable discipleship strategy that reaches students strengthens families cultivates future leaders and intentionally bridges students into lifelong engagement within the church.

The ideal candidate is a relational and visionary leader who thrives in developing people building ministry teams and engaging the community through local schools outreach initiatives camps retreats and mission opportunities. Wynnbrook is seeking a self-starting pastor who aligns with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 demonstrates spiritual maturity and strong communication skills and possesses a passion for shepherding students young adults and their families while serving collaboratively as part of the churchs pastoral staff.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Wynnbrook Baptist Church is seeking a relational visionary Student Pastor who is energized by the opportunity to build a thriving disciple-making ministry from the ground up. This person naturally earns trust loves being with students and parents and sees ministry extending beyond church walls into schools games and the community. They are a collaborative leader who embraces the mission of the entire church rather than operating in a silo communicates vision with clarity equips volunteers and develops leaders. They bring humility emotional maturity a strong work ethic and a teachable spirit measuring success by transformed lives. Above all they desire to become part of the church family and help lead Wynnbrook into its next season of growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and shape a thriving ministry for students college-aged adults and young adults creating a seamless pathway from student ministry into adult discipleship.
• Provide vision and leadership by equipping volunteers developing leaders and investing in students and their families.
• Build meaningful relationships with local schools and the surrounding community while developing creative outreach strategies.
• Plan and lead retreats camps conferences mission trips and special events that encourage spiritual growth and foster authentic community.
• Serve as a key member of the pastoral team collaborating with the Senior Pastor and providing leadership to the Childrens Director.
• Create engaging environments where students can grow in their faith discover their gifts and become leaders who influence their generation for Christ.
• Develop new discipleship opportunities that strengthen families and help young people remain connected to the church as they transition into adulthood.
