JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

As a key member of the Project Management Oversight team the Project Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the management and coordination of all technical aspects of new power generation capital projects.

This role ensures that engineering is aligned with corporate goals and is complete accurate and constructible for all elements of a projects scope. The position promotes a culture of innovation continuous improvement best-practice implementation and lessons-learned this role directly supports the execution of new power generation assets demonstrated and relevant experience in power-generation such as development engineering design construction or operations is essential.

The Project Engineering Intern works closely with multiple Project Managers and other Project Engineers as a technical resource during the execution phase and coordinates with cross-functional teams while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working in a team environment to assist in day-to-day activities including but not limited to:

• Promotes safe behavior in accordance with Company expectations and adherence to thesafety rules on all projects.
• Identifies engineered safety controls and hazard removal during engineering design and coachto safe practices in the field.
• Reviews instrumentation and electrical drawings electrical studies control logic and graphics to ensure compliance with specifications and operational requirements
• Supports cross-functional team consisting of internal Subject Matter Experts OwnersEngineers EPC Contractors and Technical Consultants from Engineering Construction Commissioning and Closeout.
• Ensures documentation of engineering and construction quality is adequately captured tosupport audit and prudency review.
• Supports Owner team in writing official Records of Decision to capture prudency of
  major project decisions.
• Performs/Manages the review of engineering design to assure compliance with the contractpermits codes and utility standards while ensuring design supports the strategic operationaland maintenance goals of the project.
• Supports change management process for any potential design changes.
• Participates in the equipment inspection activities as agreed with the Contractor.
• Supports Owner review and signoff of System Turnover packages from Construction toStart-up and from EPC to Owner.
• Supports commissioning and ensures performance reliability and emissions testing arecompleted per contract.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates must be actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelors masters or doctorate degree in Engineering Engineering Technologies Construction Management Project Management or a related discipline from a four-year institution.
• At minimum candidates must be classified as a rising junior or beyond at the time of hire.

• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Word PowerPoint and Teams.
• Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn in a fast-paced project environment.
