Entergys Project Delivery Engineering Departmentis responsible for planning designing constructing maintaining and operating over 16000 miles of transmission lines and over 2700 substations across the four-state territory.

Intern Job Description:

Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to:

• Performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis project scoping cost estimation and site visits Specification/procurement of relay equipment
• Preparing IFA/IFC relay design packages
• Performing design based on project scoping and site visits
• Working collectively with multiple groups across different disciplines to support project needs
• Preparing operational one-line drawings
• Performing the completion of as-built documentation
• Working on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability
• Supporting activities to comply with applicable industry standards (i.e. NERC SERC) and other utility regulations as required
• Travel may be required for the position

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Candidates must be actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelors masters or doctorate degree in ElectricalEngineering (for the duration of their internship).
  • Preferred: Candidates who will be classified as a junior senior or beyond at the time of hire.
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
