    Job Summary

    The Student Information Systems (SIS) Coordinator at Peoria Flex Academy (PFA) serves in a dynamic blended role that integrates records management with student support services. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate student records transcripts and data systems while also providing direct support to students families and staff.

    Peoria Flex Academy is an alternative education school within the Peoria Unified School District serving students who are off track for graduation. As a result this role extends beyond traditional SIS or clerical responsibilities. The SIS Coordinator actively engages with students and families to review academic history identify barriers to credit completion and support individualized pathways toward graduation.

    This position requires strong attention to detail the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive processes and effective collaboration with administrators counselors and teachers to promote student success.

    Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Provides student-centered support in an alternative education setting working closely with students and families to promote engagement accountability and progress toward graduation.

    Supports and monitors gradebook processes including preparing grading windows verifying grade accuracy and posting progress reports and report cards so students and families have timely access to academic information.
    Collaborates with teachers and administration to ensure grade reporting is accurate and up to date helping students stay informed about their progress toward graduation.
    Maintains accurate student demographic and contact information within Synergy to support communication with students and families.
    Assists with state reporting requirements and ensures data entered into Synergy is complete and up to date.
    Coordinates with district departments including the SIS Help Desk to resolve data and system issues.

    Maintains and updates student transcripts course history and cumulative records in accordance with PUSD requirements policies and procedures.
    Maintains confidential student files in compliance with retention policies and legal requirements.
    Processes transcript requests and graduation verifications for colleges employers and other third parties.
    Tracks and manages student data including credit waivers civics requirements and testing records.

    Processes student enrollments withdrawals and transfers ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
    Coordinates enrollment scheduling prepares student records for counselor review and meets with families to explain program expectations and how the school operates.
    Meets with families to review student history identify barriers contributing to students falling behind in credits and collaborate on next steps to help students get back on track toward graduation.
    Serves as a point of contact for students families and staff regarding records enrollment and student information.

    Assists with site operations and provides clerical support as needed.
    Performs other related duties as required.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Knowledge of applicable federal state and PUSD policies related to student records and confidentiality.
    Ability to manage multiple deadlines and time-sensitive processes throughout the school year.
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record maintenance.
    Ability to communicate effectively with students families and staff.
    Skill in operating a personal computer and various software applications.
    Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships in a collaborative school environment.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High school diploma or GED AND 2 years of experience in records management student information systems or clerical support in an educational setting; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.

    Other Requirements:

    Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check.
    Must have and maintain a valid Arizona drivers license.
    May be required to lift and/or carry supplies materials or equipment.
    Must be able to read write and speak English.
    May be required to work outside normal working hours.
    May be required to travel to perform work functions.
