Job Summary

Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of the Dodge College Festivals and Industry Outreach Specialist the Student Festival Assistant will support festival and industry outreach initiatives through film festival research data management and preliminary outreach. Responsibilities include researching festival opportunities for student films assisting with the development of individualized festival strategies maintaining festival and submission data and supporting efforts to build and strengthen relationships with festival programmers.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of film festival selections award wins submission deadlines fees and waiver codes. Research film festivals and identify appropriate opportunities for Dodge College student films. Assist with student meetings and the development of individualized film festival strategies. Conduct preliminary outreach to film festivals and assist in developing and maintaining relationships with festival programmers. Track festival submission opportunities deadlines and eligibility requirements. Assist with general festival-related research data entry and administrative projects. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Little to no prior professional experience required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to learn new processes systems and procedures. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and FilmFreeway. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to conduct online research and organize information effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Interest in film film festivals or the entertainment industry.
