Student & Campus Support Person

The Student & Campus Support Assistant provides the day-to-day in-the-moment behavior support and steady presence that students and teachers rely on along with the logistical and administrative work that keeps Reflection Riding running smoothly. This role is filled through demonstrated experience and temperament not formal education credentials.
 

Status & Reporting

• Full-time 10-month term (follows the school year) in-person Reflection Riding K5 campus
• Pay: $17.00/hour 
• Classification: Hourly non-exempt eligible for overtime (1.5 regular rate) for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek
• Pay frequency: Semi-monthly (twice a month)
• Schedule: Follows the WFS student calendar; does not work on scheduled school holidays or breaks (e.g. fall break winter break spring break) within the 10-month term
• Reports to: Director Team
• Works across all K5 classrooms and shared spaces at the site; not assigned to a single classroom

Core Responsibilities

Front Office & Administrative Support

• Answering and routing phone calls
• Greeting families and visitors at drop-off pick-up or during the school day
• Basic administrative tasks: filing data entry correspondence support printing and copying

Campus Operations & Logistics

• Sourcing printing laminating and organizing materials that teachers request for their classrooms (execution only not curriculum selection)
• Coordinating shared schedules (e.g. lunch coverage cleaning enrichment blocks)
• Setting up and breaking down spaces for events assemblies field days and field trips
• Maintaining clean organized and safe shared spaces across campus
• Monitoring and flagging facility or maintenance needs to the appropriate staff (e.g. supply shortages equipment issues)
• Coordinating supply orders and procurement for classroom and site needs

Student Presence Coverage & Behavior Support

• In-the-moment behavior support and de-escalation. Relies on calm experienced judgment rather than a formal clinical or therapeutic protocol.
• Serving as an extra adult for supervision coverage when a classroom is short-staffed or a teacher needs a brief break
• Providing a warm familiar consistent presence for students across campus during transitions and other non-instructional moments

Qualifications :

Required

• Significant demonstrated experience calmly caring for or managing childrens behavior as a parent grandparent caregiver teacher or in a professional childcare/caregiving role
• Able to lift and carry 3040 lbs unassisted
• Comfortable with basic office/administrative tasks (phones filing correspondence data entry)
• Comfortable with Google Workspace (Gmail Calendar Docs Sheets Drive) used heavily across campus
• Comfortable working outdoors and moving around a multi-building campus throughout the day
• Reliable flexible availability to respond to same-day behavior-support logistics and coverage needs
• Successful background check / child safety clearance

Preferred

• Prior formal experience or training in behavior support de-escalation or classroom management (e.g. teaching childcare or counseling background)
• Prior experience in office administration front-desk/reception facilities coordination or event setup and logistics
• Valid drivers license if occasional supply runs or errands end up part of the role
• General comfort with outdoor/forest environments
