Job Description Summary
Schmid College is looking for a highly motivated undergraduate student majoring in a program within Schmid College of Science and Technology for the position of Keck Center Tour Guide. The Keck Center Tour Guide works closely with Schmid Colleges Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to provide informed friendly service to campus visitors. This position supports the overall admissions strategy and messaging of Schmid College of Science and Technology at Chapman University. The required tasks will include greeting families leading tours through all three floors of the Keck Center and answering questions about academics and student life in Schmid College. The Keck Center Tour Guide will be expected to memorize a script generally adhere to it when leading tours and have a basic familiarity with many aspects of Schmid College to answer questions from prospective students and families. Good communication skills a positive and professional demeanor and a willingness to help are essential. The Keck Center Tour Guide typically leads tours solo may lead tours with a partner and occasionally helps train new tour guides. The Keck Center Tour Guide will be trained and mentored to gain knowledge of Schmid College and to develop skills in public speaking customer service and problem solving. Aids with administrative duties and event support as needed. This position requires the ability to occasionally work weekend hours for job-related functions.
Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
