Champlain Elementary School in the Burlington School District seeks a reliable Student Activity Monitor who enjoys working with children whilemaintaining a safe school climate. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the IAA community and may already be working part-time in the district.

Duties

• Establish positive relationships with all students equally.

• Teach and reinforce cafeteria expectations.

• Teach and reinforce recess expectations.
• Collaborate and communicate with other lunch monitors teachers and administration.

Work Hours:
This is a school-year position that begins August 26th 2026.

Hours are 11:30am - 1:00pm on every school day. May vary depending on school schedule.

Working Conditions:

• Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs.; pushing/pulling objects

• Standing sitting climbing stooping kneeling crawling balancing

• Possible exposure to heat cold noise dust fumes or hazardous materials

• Work at heights or around electrical/mechanical equipment

• Basic sense of touch smell and taste
• Works independently and collaboratively with regular face-to-face interaction
