Summary:

• Works on engineering projects containing critical problems requiring major technological advances and extensive related development.

• Responsible for an entire engineering project of major complexity within established scope.

• Makes technical decisions and recommendations that have an important impact on extensive engineering activities.

• Applies advanced technical principles theories and concepts based on broad expertise or unique specialized knowledge.

• Leads development of innovative principles and ideas.

• Determines improved methods or procedures to optimize technical product cost and schedule requirements.

• Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.

• Conceives and plans investigation of broad areas for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the program.

• Works under consultative direction using independent judgment to accomplish objectives.

• Applies engineering knowledge to support product development and production.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelors Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 13 years specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors.

• Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

• Preferred: Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum.
