Job Overview
Flexx Workforce is currently hiring an experienced Structural Fitter for upcoming industrial and marine projects. This role is focused on fitting structural steel components not pipe. We are looking for dependable tradesmen with experience in shipyards fabrication shops or heavy industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints structural drawings and specifications
- Measure layout and fit structural steel components
- Assemble beams plates and structural assemblies to spec
- Tack weld components for final welding
- Use grinders torches hand tools and measuring instruments
- Work alongside welders and other trades
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all job site safety standards and procedures
Requirements
- 25 years of structural fitting experience (NOT pipe fitting)
- Strong blueprint reading skills (structural drawings)
- Experience in shipyard fabrication shop or industrial setting preferred
- Ability to pass:
- Drug screening
- Background check (if required)
- Physical / fit-for-duty screening
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand kneel climb and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
