Manages tasks independently with assignments provided by the Project Lead or Engineering Management. This position also provides guidance and assistance for less experienced engineering staff and interacts with different members of internal and external DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops substantiation reports (i.e. interiors structures damage tolerance evaluations Weight and Balance/C.G. Static Test Plans/Reports) in the ATS standard format and reviews and checks subject reports required to support the aircraft aircraft configurations technical specifications and/or Statements of Work to ensure proper interface between aircraft structure systems and interior Engineering Orders and Work Instructions for aircraft stress assignment sheets and overall stress program schedules based on program LOPAs and General Arrangement FEA models for complex component designs for structure systems and in Design Reviews and Design Build Team meetings as field discrepancy reports (DRs).Advises Project Lead on risk issues and action and assists in implementing new processes and procedures within the Engineering department to help improve to the processes and procedures of ATS and ATS Engineering and notify Engineering Management when these procedures are not collaborative relationships to achieve DUTIES:Assists Project Lead Project Engineer and Engineering Management with additional tasks when business needs arise. May require some overnight travel being on-call and responding to technical AOG situations during off be assigned to alternative shifts such as day night swing and weekends to support programs or other duties as AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering or related field with two (2) or more years of relevant aerospace experience preferred; or five (5) years of equivalent aircraft engineering experience airframe system and interior design practices experience interior and/or VIP retrofit experience EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to sit stand and walk; use their hands and arms; talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 full base pay range for this position is $80k - $111k annually not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience skills and education as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge.
