Streaming Content Producer

WBRE/WYOU seeks to hire a streaming content producerto produce and manage content for digital platforms including a connected television app YouTube channel and website live streams. This is a technical and creative role working closely with the digital team newsroom leaders reporters and engineering team.

• Content creation:Work collaboratively with the team of video journalists and reporters to create content thats optimized for multiple platforms including broadcast television websites and social media
• Contentcuration:Scheduleconnected television app programming by crafting blocks of engaging content. Manage YouTube strategy to increase audience size and loyalty.
• Organization:Organizesource materials into multimedia pieces and aggregated video streams.
• Live Stream Production: Assist with live streams of breaking news daily events and pre-planned programming.
• Guest interviewmanagement:Bookand produce conversations with invited guests both virtual and in-person.

Requirements & Skills:

• Degree in journalism video production or other fields related to media content management
• Experience producing streaming and social video content
• Understanding of digital platforms trends and audience behaviors
• Knowledge of WordPress OBS/vMix Akta or similar digital content management systems
• Strong writing and editorial ability
• Ability to adjust schedule based on major and breaking news events
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• 3 years experience in a local newsroom preferred
