As a Strategic Analytics Associate youll work with the risk team to generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations to the business concerning strategy development implementation operational controls and performance monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts
  • Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle
  • Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting portfolio management collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance drivers
  • Conduct complex analysis including data collection analysis visualization and presentation of results to partners and management in support of card acquisition strategies and new product/feature initiatives
  • Support formulation of risk strategy and product roadmap partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Mange risk strategies to drive financial performance and risk mitigation improvements while innovating to ensure optimal strategy performance with growth mindset
  • Work closely with Risk Governance Legal and Compliance to ensure policies comply with laws and regulations
  • Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management

Required qualifications capabilities and/or skills

  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline from an accredited college/university required; Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of Risk Management or other quantitative experience
  • Educational or professional background in statistics econometrics finance or other quantitative field
  • Highly skilled at SQL coding Excel PowerPoint and Tableau
  • Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
  • Ability to logically structure analyses using strong analytical interpretive and problem solving skills
  • Experience delivering recommendations to management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
