We areseeking atalented Project ManagerwithStormwater Infrastructure and Water Resourcesexperienceto join ourNortheast DivisionStormwater Infrastructure Group.

The candidate selected for this position must reside near one of the following Apex offices: Quincy MA Woburn MA and Providence RI.They will have the option of working in the office full-time working a hybrid schedule or working from home but they must be available to travel to local client and project sites. We are open to candidates willing to relocate to New England.

The selected employee will provide technical leadershipand project managementfor a variety ofmunicipal andprivatestormwater and water resourcesprojects including

• Hydraulic-Hydrologic (H-H) modeling
• Bridge culvert and drainage system design
• Inland and coastal flood mitigation planning and design
• Civil site design and grading

Your Responsibilities as a Project Manager:

• Work as a stormwater and water resources subject matter expert and be responsible for technical project delivery and design scheduling budgeting and client management.
• Supervise and direct individuals or teams of technical staff on complex projects and/or multiple smallerprojects.
• Assist in the training and technical development of staff by various means including holding training seminars providing technical guidance during project execution and bringing new technical developments in-house.
• Assist with strategic planning training proposals and business development.
• Consult with other technical staff and Project Managers on technical challengesin thestormwater and water resourcesdisciplinewhile also providing independenttechnical reviews onstormwater and water resources components ofprojectsfor other disciplines.
• Overseethe technical accuracy ofprojectthrough regular communications with project staff review of plans specifications reports and calculations to ensure compliance with the firms standards.
• Recognize the potential risks of nonstandard technical matters or potential legal disputes by participating in required project risk and insurance training to minimize the firms liability.
• Present project updates and technicalinformationto the client and at public meetings to review and discuss project details

What were looking for:

• Bachelor of ScienceDegreein an Engineering discipline
• 8 years of related experience in stormwater and water resources including design and project management
• Registered Professional Engineerin the State of Massachusetts or the ability to obtain same by reciprocity
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients staff subconsultants and contractors through effective leadership and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators in the local and technical areas where Apex does work
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong desire to manage and mentor junior staff
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
