Shoe Carnival is looking for a motivated customer-focused Store Lead to oversee an area of the store. This role is perfect for someone ready to take on more responsibility and grow into a leadership position.
What Youll Do:
- Lead a department (such as Womens Mens and Childrens departments) and support overall store standards
- Greet and assist customers with a positive helpful attitude
- Train and guide associates on service product placement and cash handling
- Handle transactions returns and safe/till counts as needed
- Organize merchandise displays and help with truck unloading and floor moves
- Promote current sales and programs
- Delegate tasks and communicate clearly with the team
What Were Looking For:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confidence in taking initiative and leading by example
- At least one year experience in retail sales or cash handling (preferred)
- Ability to learn and operate the POS system
- Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 16 years old
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand walk and lift up to 25 lbs during shifts
- Comfortable bending squatting and reaching for merchandise
- Able to move quickly in a fast-paced store environment
