The role

Were looking for a Dye Master to lead all fabric coloring operations at our production facility. Youll own the full dye process from formula development to final quality check ensuring every hammock that leaves our floor is exactly the shade of sunset terracotta the customer ordered and not a slightly alarming rust.

What youll do

• Develop test and maintain dye formulas for cotton polyester and blended hammock fabrics
• Operate and oversee industrial dye vats ensuring consistent color across production batches
• Match colors to approved Pantone standards and sign off on batch quality before release
• Troubleshoot color inconsistencies bleeding and fading issues
• Maintain dye records safety data sheets and chemical inventory
• Train and supervise junior dye technicians
• Work closely with product and design teams on new colorways each season

What were looking for

• 3 years of experience in textile dyeing fabric finishing or a related production role
• Working knowledge of fiber-reactive acid and vat dyes
• Strong color perception you will be tested and it looks fine to me is not a passing answer
• Familiarity with dye lab equipment and batch documentation
• Understanding of wastewater and chemical disposal regulations
• Ability to stand for long periods in a warm humid production environment (you will be warm; you will be slightly damp)

Nice to have

• Experience with natural or low-impact dyes
• Background in quality control or ISO production environments
• An opinion on why certain reds always fade first
