StewardCleaner Part-time Overnights

We are seeking a diligent and dedicated overnight Steward to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the kitchen and related areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. This position requires working during the overnight shift to ensure that the kitchen is ready for the next days operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces including floors walls ceilings and countertops.
• Wash and disinfect all kitchen equipment utensils and appliances.
• Empty and clean trash containers ensuring proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
• Sweep mop and vacuum floors including under and behind kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize sinks drains and dishwashing areas.
• Remove grease and grime from cooking equipment and ventilation systems.
• Deep clean ovens stoves grills fryers and other cooking appliances.
• Check and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Kitchen Supervisor/Facility Manager.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Ensure the kitchen is left in a safe condition with all equipment turned off and secure.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth operation.

Qualifications :

• Experience:
  • Previous experience in a kitchen cleaning or janitorial role.
  • Knowledge of industrial kitchen cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within the shift.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting kneeling climbing ladders bending and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
