Schedule: Night Shift 5x8s FridayTuesday 11:00 PM 7:30 AM

Position Overview

A leading short-term acute care facility in Portland Oregon is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a night shift contract assignment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong sterile processing experience in a fast-paced hospital setting and hands-on knowledge of instrumentation handling sterilization procedures and infection prevention protocols.

Experience with SPM systems and robotic instrumentation is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination cleaning sterilization and assembly of surgical instruments and medical equipment
  • Inspect instrument trays and equipment for cleanliness functionality and accuracy
  • Prepare package and distribute sterile supplies for surgical and procedural departments
  • Operate sterilization equipment in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Epic and departmental tracking systems
  • Adhere to infection control patient safety and quality assurance protocols
  • Collaborate closely with surgical services and clinical teams to support procedural workflows
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician required
  • Prior travel assignment experience required
  • Strong understanding of sterile processing workflows and infection prevention standards
  • Experience working in acute care or hospital environments preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic documentation systems and SPM tracking systems preferred
