Job Summary and Responsibilities
Join our team as aCertified Sterile Processing the Certified Sterile Processing Tech role you will:
- Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department.
- Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination processing sterilization and distribution of instruments equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment.
- Maintain records in compliance with AAMI AORN Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification and monitors instructs and mentors non-certified.
- Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR.
- Facilitate the departments preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:
- Computer skills required
- CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
