STEM Teacher (Remote Independent Contractor)

Nao Now is looking for enthusiastic and engaging STEM educators to inspire the next generation of young learners.

This is a fully remote part-time independent contractor position where youll teach 1-on-1 English lessons to children ages 512 using our structured interactive curriculum. Were looking for teachers who can naturally bring science technology engineering mathematics and critical thinking into classroom conversations.

If you have a background in STEM and enjoy making complex ideas simple and exciting for children wed love to hear from you.

No lesson planning is required. All curriculum and teaching materials are provided allowing you to focus on delivering energetic engaging lessons that build students confidence in speaking English.

• Teach 25-minute one-on-one online English lessons to children ages 512

• Deliver engaging lessons using Nao Nows structured curriculum

• Incorporate age-appropriate STEM concepts and real-world examples into classroom discussions when appropriate

• Encourage curiosity critical thinking and confident English communication

• Create a fun supportive and interactive learning environment

• Provide thoughtful lesson feedback after each class

• Maintain a professional energetic and encouraging on-camera presence

• Commit to a consistent weekly teaching schedule

• Minimum of 10 teaching hours per week

• Available during peak teaching hours:

  • MondayFriday

  • 5:30 PM10:00 PM KST

• Minimum 3-month commitment

• Consistent weekly availability required

• Starting at $20 USD per hour

• Paid per completed 25-minute lesson

• Compensation based on qualifications experience and evaluation performance

• All curriculum and teaching materials provided

• No unpaid lesson planning required

• Training and onboarding are unpaid

• Native English speaker

• Bachelors degree or proof of current enrollment in a bachelors program

• Academic background in one or more of the following:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry

  • Physics

  • Mathematics

  • Engineering

  • Computer Science

  • Environmental Science

  • Health Sciences

  • STEM/STEAM Education

  • Other related STEM disciplines

• Experience working with children ages 512

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Friendly engaging and energetic teaching style

• Reliable wired internet connection (minimum 60 Mbps)

• Quiet professional teaching environment

• Headset (noise-cancelling preferred)

Previous ESL or English teaching experience is an asset but is not required.
