Steel Construction Project Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning execution and completion of steel construction projects.
• Coordinate with the estimator accounting department purchasing manager detailers shop foreman subcontractors and other internal and external project stakeholders.
• Attend site visits and jobsite meetings as needed; minimal travel may be required at times.
• Communicate effectively with owners architects engineers contractors detailers and erectors to plan and deliver projects on time.
• Review construction and fabrication drawings and coordinate detailing review.
• Support estimating sales project turnover contract review purchasing coordination scheduling and subcontract management.
• Manage multiple priorities while staying proactive organized and solution-oriented.
• Use basic knowledge of Tekla/BIM software to support project coordination and review.

Qualifications

• Construction Project Management: 5 years required.
• Structural Steel Project Management: 5 years preferred.
• Ability to understand construction and fabrication drawings required.
• Excellent communication leadership organization and problem-solving skills.
• Multi-task oriented and proactive approach to project management.
• Basic knowledge of Tekla/BIM software preferred.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelors degree in Construction preferred.
