As a Staff/Principal Software Engineer you will engineer the intelligence behind a revolutionary robotic platform with ultrasound imaging and AI for interventional cardiology. You will work at the challenging intersection where software meets physicsdesigning the real-time motion planning fault-tolerant controls and system integrations that make our device safe and precise. This is not just about writing code; it is about owning critical subsystems of a life-saving device. You will drive technical decisions build high-fidelity simulations and deliver production-grade software that translates complex algorithms into clinical reality.
Responsibilities Skills & Hands-On Experience:

Responsibilities Skills & Hands-On Experience:
- Utilize expertise in C to craft high-quality and efficient software solutions.
- Analyze requirements design and implement software for image guided robotics
- Develop and execute comprehensive software testing frameworks leveraging debugging tools for issue identification and resolution.
- Define standards and best practices for Software Development Life Cycle Process
- Utilize and develop software for real-time systems for safe and fault-tolerant software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation systems within an FDA-compliant Quality Management System (QMS)
- Implement and optimize software modules for path planning kinematics and sensor integration and simulations for testing and development.
- Evaluate new and emerging designs technologies and components
Preferred Skills & Hands-On Experience:
- Experience developing software under FDA Quality System Regulations and IEC 62304 processes for Class II or Class III medical devices.
- Experience implementing ROS or ROS2 systems.
- Familiarity with Linux development and system maintenance.
- Familiarity with software testing frameworks and debugging tools.
Education & Work Experience:
- BS MS or PHD Degree in CS EE Robotics or equivalent experience in a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot and debug complex systems.
- Proficiency in programming using C and experience (design patterns real time)
- Proven experience in robotic software development with a focus on automation and imaging systems
- Experience with agile software development life cycles including design implementation deployment and maintenance for production grade systems.
- High levels of independence and technical ownership.
- Experiences with SQA and software release and deployment process.
- Experience with visualization and graphics(2D/3D) in Qt is a plus
- Experience with Ultrasound imaging is a plus
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Our salary ranges are calculated by role level and location. Please note that your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge location skills experience relevant education and training/certifications. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $170000 - $220000 equity benefits.
