Job Summary
Make an Impact Behind the Scenes of Patient CareMass General Brigham (MGB) Home Hospital provides hospital-level care to patients right in their own homes. Patients receive in-person clinical care along with virtual monitoring and support from a full care teamhelping them recover comfortably at home instead of staying in the hospital.
As a Staffing Scheduler/Coordinator youll play a critical role in supporting this innovative care model by ensuring the right clinicians are in the right place at the right time. This is a fast-paced highly collaborative role where your organization communication and problem-solving skills directly support frontline teams and patient care delivery.
What Youll Do
Create maintain and optimize schedules for nursing and patient care services staff to ensure full shift coverage
Balance operational needs with scheduling guidelines including union considerations where applicable
Manage open shifts and last-minute coverage needs
Coordinate vacation and holiday scheduling processes
Work within key systems including Epic Cadence Amion Microsoft Teams Shifts and UKG
Maintain and update scheduling templates in Epic Cadence
Coordinate daily patient visit assignments including advance planning for weekends
Collaborate closely with Clinical Leaders Nursing Supervisors and Charge Nurses
Serve as a key point of contact for scheduling-related needs and questions
Support general administrative and office operations as needed
Run reports support schedule analytics and assist with capacity planning tools
Participate in Home Hospital committees and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams
Schedule & Work Environment
Full-time MondayFriday 8am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week)
On-site for the first 6 months of training at Assembly Row in Somerville (office setting)
Hybrid flexibility available after the training period
Qualifications
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 12 years of customer service experience (healthcare or clinical setting preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams Excel Word PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in scheduling administrative support receptionist or customer service roles
- Experience in a call center or high-volume practice environment
- Experience with EMR systems
- Experience with Epic (Cadence) UKG Dimensions and/or Amion
- Understanding of medical terminology
