Staff UX Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced UX Designer to impact the health insurance industry. The ideal candidate will excel in UX and visual design and seamlessly switch between tactical and strategic tasks. You should have a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences in complex environments and a deep understanding of our business goals.

As a UX Designer you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to prioritize work based on value creating intuitive and visually compelling experiences for members agents employers and providers.

• Plan conduct and analyze user testing sessions to validate design decisions.
• Utilize various research methods to inform and enhance the user experience.
• Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and UX best practices.
• Pursue professional development opportunities and share knowledge with the team.

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree or advanced degree (where required)
• 3 years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree 5 years of experience in related field.

Bonus Points

• A strong portfolio showcasing your design projects and demonstrating your understanding of UX principles.
• Proficiency in design tools like Sketch Figma Adobe XD and knowledge of user research methods wireframing prototyping and usability testing.
• Strong communication problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with testing tools like UserZoom / UserTesting.
• Experience working in teams and understanding of agile methodologies like Scrum

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed.
