Job Summary

The employee will conduct intakes ongoing therapy sessions group sessions with populations served at the agency both onsite at shelter and the main office. This includes but is not limited to: victims perpetrators adolescents and children male and female. Documentation and reporting to the courts and other agencies will be completed professionally and appropriately. This employee is responsible for maintaining their license and appropriate CEs for credentialing purposes.
Primary Responsibilities

Conduct bio/psycho/social intake sessions for both victims and people who use violence using SafeNest assessment
Diagnose clients utilizing DSM-5 TR criteria
Provide ongoing therapy for individuals: men women adults adolescents and children and families in the shelter setting and office setting
- Maintain a caseload of 25 weekly appointments
- Shelter requirements are 2 days a week
Document case notes in a timely and appropriate manner by utilizing SOAP note criteria
Meet Medicaid and commercial insurance standards for documentation including and not limited to: PARs (prior authorization requests) billing codes bio/psycho/social assessments treatment planning progress notes 30-day claim amendments and CASII/LOCUS scoring
Provide support to populations in shelter through conflict resolution crisis intervention and practice of grounding techniques
Conduct group sessions with victims male and female within the shelter setting
Become informed regarding the effects of domestic violence on the entire family
Learn and utilize therapeutic methods based on trauma-informed care
Write progress reports for the courts and CPS
Attend clinical team meetings and Medicaid supervision
Attend monthly supervision with Clinical Director
Work in conjunction with SafeNest partners to support domestic violence counseling needs and client management. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Skills and Qualifications

Fully licensed clinically by the appropriate Board is preferred. However licensed interns by the relevant Board will also be considered.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Marriage Family Therapist (MFT)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Clinical Interns
Willing and able to become certified as a Batterers Intervention Counselor is mandatory
Flexible to work Saturdays
Excellent verbal and written skills
Bi-Lingual (Spanish & English) preferred
