The Opportunity:
This position is for a Staff Systems Engineer.You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. The position will primarily support the operations for a software system.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and requirement transparency across development teams

  • Performing requirements management including requirements creation tracking flow down coverage verification tracking compliance matrices etc.

  • Developing test procedures to formally verify system requirements for sell off events

  • Decomposing system requirements and collaborating with multi-disciplined distributed teams to generate efficient and scalable solutions

  • Supporting the development implementation and verification of mission capabilities

  • Participating in the development and execution of program milestones events such as Customer meetings internal and formal Government testing events and discrepancy report (DR) review boards

  • Conducting testing events of software solutions and generating Test result documentation

  • Supporting operations of software with tasks such as enterprise test events and user integration and onboarding


Qualifications:
Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly

  • Bachelors degree in computer science systems engineering IT or related engineering field

  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in software development or systems engineering

  • Effective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well in a small team fast paced environment

  • Ability to develop requirements

  • Ability to develop test procedures that verify requirements

  • Ability to develop tracing between requirements code and verification

  • Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology

  • Current IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security CISSP or CASP)


Desired:

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with virtual teams

  • Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD

  • Experience with using automated tests to sell off formal requirement verification

  • Experience with government Site Acceptance process and procedures

  • Experience in working with software-defined interfaces that use either XML or JSON to both document and implement

  • Experience with SATCOM or GEOINT systems

  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engage with virtual teams

  • Experience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality

  • Experience with Cameo modeling tools

  • Experience developing a software architect using digital tools

  • Experience with DOORS or DOOR Next Gen
