Staff Product Manager, Agent Observability

LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the agentic era of computing. Our platform gives developers everything they need to build test deploy scale and observe AI agents in production. Founded in 2021 LiveKit powers voice and agentic AI applications for OpenAI Salesforce Spotify Meta and tens of thousands of other developers collectively facilitating billions of calls each year.

Were looking for a Product Manager to own LiveKits Agent Observability product: how teams understand debug and trust what their voice agents do in production.

Our PM team is small and high-leverage with each PM coming in to establish the foundations in a new area of the business. Observability is one of the most important new products at LiveKit. Its central to our strategy a surface of huge value to customers and a category still in its infancy. Youd own it as the sole PM.

Youll set the vision and roadmap for the whole observability suite from traces and recordings to dashboards evals and quality metrics and partner closely with the engineering team that builds it. The product has to serve two very different users at once: the engineer debugging why a call went wrong and the non-technical operator reviewing quality cost and agent behavior. That makes it as hard at the UX layer as it is under the hood.

The category for voice AI observability is being defined right now and youll be shaping a product used by some of the largest companies deploying voice agents at scale.

• Own the observability roadmap. Set a clear vision and a sequenced plan for the suite and decide what gets built and when in partnership with engineering.

• Ship products people rely on. Turn a complex data-dense problem into experiences customers use every day and keep raising the bar on quality.

• Make agent quality measurable. Build the evals and metrics teams need to know whether their agents are actually good and getting better from latency and cost to conversation quality and behavior.

• Design for two audiences at once. Make the product work for deeply technical users and non-technical operators without compromising either.

• Get deep with customers and data. Understand how teams actually run and debug agents in production and let that shape priorities.

• Grow it into a business. Drive adoption and revenue so our observability revenue reflects the real value it delivers to customers.

• 8 years in product management at a senior or staff level ideally having owned a developer-facing or data-heavy product.

• Technical depth. You can reason about how a complex system works under the hood and earn the trust of strong engineers. You dont need to write code but you need to understand systems well enough to make good tradeoffs.

• Multi-persona product sense. Youve built for both deeply technical users and non-technical ones in the same product and have the design judgment to make dense data-rich interfaces genuinely useful.

• Cross-functional influence. LiveKits engineering teams operate with high autonomy. You influence through clarity trust and good judgment not process or hierarchy.

• Communication as a superpower. You write clearly present well and can move between a board-level strategy conversation and a detailed technical discussion with an engineering lead.

• Comfort with ambiguity. Were a small product team at a fast-growing company. Youll figure out what matters prioritize ruthlessly and move quickly without perfect information.

• Built an observability monitoring or analytics product or a tool for evaluating and improving AI/LLM quality

• Familiarity with evals tracing or quality measurement for AI/LLM or agent systems

• Familiarity with how teams debug and monitor software in production (logs traces metrics dashboards)

• Background at a developer tools or infrastructure company

• Familiarity with voice AI real-time communication or telephony

• Experience with usage-based pricing models
