You will need to live within commuting distance to our Portage Michigan office as this is a hybrid role and you will need to be in the office 3 days a week and can work from home on other days.
What You Will Do
- Design develop and verify components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision.
- Translate user needs into design specifications and deliver system-level solutions.
- Lead prototyping and testing efforts tovalidatedesign performance.
- Identifyand resolve complex design issues using data-driven analysis to improve processes and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and mentor others in design control practices.
- Create andmaintainengineering documentation including Design History Files.
- Collaborate cross-functionallyto drive projects from concept through launch.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering(Mechanical Biomedical or related field).
- Minimum four years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience designing mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Proficiencyin engineering drawing creation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience in project management and financial analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with risk management and quality systems in a regulated environment.
- Previous experience in medical device or regulated industry.
