Body controls is the subsystem the customer physically touches every time they use the vehicle. As the industry shifts to software-defined vehicles every one of those interactions has become a cross-functional problem spanning electrical hardware software and network communication.

Were looking for an experienced electrical systems integration engineer with sufficient hardware depth to own body controls end to end closures seating lighting switches mirrors wipers and the motors sensors and actuators behind them. Youll own the intersection where hardware and software meet: translating physical component behavior into system requirements defining the interfaces that drive it and proving it works on real hardware. From concept through production you are responsible for the seamless operation and performance of these systems.

  • Lead vehicle manufacturing integration and end-of-line validation for body controls components
  • Drive supplier software for networked body controls components: review deliveries against requirements drive defect triage and resolution with suppliers and gate release readiness
  • Develop and maintain network databases and interface artifacts (DBC LDF ARXML) coordinating with software and systems engineering to satisfy all feature and functional requirements
