Job Summary
Seeking a Staff BESS Electrical Engineer responsible for designing and supporting deployment of large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems in utility and industrial environments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (AC/DC and medium-voltage systems)
Perform power system studies using tools like ETAP SKM EasyPower or equivalent
Support design of utility-scale renewable energy solar and microgrid projects
Develop and review single-line diagrams protection schemes grounding systems and interconnection designs
Work on transformer inverter and switchgear integration and design
Support end-to-end BESS project execution from design to deployment
Coordinate with cross-functional engineering and field teams in onsite environment
Ensure compliance with utility and industrial electrical standards

3 5 years in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) design & deployment
Strong hands-on electrical design experience (AC/DC medium-voltage systems)
Experience with power system studies tools (ETAP SKM EasyPower or similar)
Background in renewable energy / solar / energy storage / microgrids
Experience designing large-scale BESS or utility/heavy-industrial projects
Must be willing to work fully onsite (Sparks NV or San Francisco CA)
