Job Summary

Education: A Bachelors degree in accounting from an accredited college or university or a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with 30 credit hours in accounting and related courses including or supplemented by 3 credit hours in auditing.
Experience: Three years of experience conducting financial and operational internal audits that include elements for finance and compliance economy and efficiency and program results.
Notes:
1. Applicants who have met the requirements for admission to the CPA examination prior to July 1 1974 will be considered to have met the educational requirement referenced above.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a certificate as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor or a masters degree in accounting from an accredited college or universityfor one year of the required experience.
3. Candidatesmay substitute one year of professional accounting experience for one year of the requiredexperience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Internal Review classifications or Auditing specialty codes in the Financial or Auditing fields of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Strongpreference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferredqualification(s). Include clear and specific information on yourapplication regarding all qualifications.
1. Experienceconducting internal audits compliance audits operational audits orperformance audits within a government agency or highly regulated environment.2. Experienceevaluating compliance with State and federal laws regulations grantrequirements and agency policies.
4. Experiencedeveloping audit programs performing risk assessments and documenting auditwork papers with the ability to manage multiple audit assignments and meetestablished deadlines.

Theexamination for this position will consist of a rating of your educationtraining and experience related to the requirements of the candidates will be placed on the employment eligibility listcategorized as BEST QUALIFIED BETTER QUALIFIED or QUALIFIED. Theeligibility list will be valid for one year and may be extended. The listwill be used by the hiring authority to select employees for interviews. Eligible lists may be used to fill future vacancies of the same classification.
Pleasenote selected candidates may be required to complete and successfully pass aState and Federal fingerprint background check prior to being hired.
Youmust be legally authorized under the United States Immigration Reform andControl Act to be hired in the position for which you apply.
