Job Summary

What Youll Do

As a key member of our Finance team reporting to the Controller you will safeguard the integrity of the general ledger and drive the month-end close serving as a trusted analytical partner to business leaders across the company.

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Drive an accurate and timely month-end close including review and analysis of all profit and loss and balance sheet transactions.
  • Prepare and review journal entries accruals and supporting schedules that stand up to scrutiny.
  • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts chasing down discrepancies until they are resolved.
  • Partner with business leaders to communicate and publish financial results and key performance indicators.

Compliance Controls & Audit

  • Monitor and enforce internal controls across accounting processes treating them as the backbone of reliable reporting.
  • Support quarterly and year-end audits plus any internal or external audits with documentation that is ready when asked.
  • Complete tax filings including Sales and Use and Property tax forms.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations across LSO entities and keep financial information strictly confidential.

AP & AR Oversight

  • Provide oversight and serve as backup for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Review accrued liabilities and expenses for completeness and accuracy.
  • Resolve cash and credit card issues in coordination with the finance team.

Analysis & Executive Support

  • Support the finance management team and executives with analyses and ad hoc projects that shape real decisions.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly audit committee presentations.
  • Maintain organized historical records and supporting documentation.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify repetitive manual accounting tasks and apply AI and automation tools to streamline them.
  • Help the finance team modernize how the close reconciliations and reporting get done.

Qualifications :

What You Bring

Skills & Experience

  • Two-year degree in Accounting or Finance required; bachelors degree preferred.
  • 3 years of progressive accounting experience including general ledger ownership and month-end close.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles including AP AR invoice reconciliation and cost accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with an ERP or accounting system; Deacom experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a manufacturing or contract manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 820 or ISO 13485 regulated operations.
  • Certificate in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
  • Hands-on experience using AI or automation tools (AI assistants scripting or ERP workflow automation) to reduce manual repetitive work.

Work Environment

  • On-site full-time at the Somersworth NH facility.
  • Primarily a professional office environment within an FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 regulated contract manufacturing operation.
  • Requires the ability to sit and view a computer monitor for extended periods.
  • Involves moving between floors and departments including walking up and down stairs.
  • Occasional visits to production and warehouse areas may require adherence to facility safety and gowning requirements.
