Job Title/Location:
Staff Accountant Santa Ana CA.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Assists in monthly closing and production of financial statements to guarantee timely reporting and ensure the information reported properly reflects the divisions financial position.
2. Prepares verifies and controls the entering of journal entries to the General Ledger
3. Coordinates the completion and review of the monthly balance sheet and profit and loss statement account analyses and reconciliations including intercompany activity.
4. Assists in the coordination and preparation of financial audits as required by outside auditors.
5. Maintains division fixed asset system
6. Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and coordinating the completion of various required reports.
7. Assists in the review of financial policies and procedures as necessary.
8. Assists with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley.
9. Assists in the preparation of various tax reporting requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree Accounting with 2 to 7 years of exempt level experience in a manufacturing environment or any combination of experience education and training which would provide the level of knowledge skill and ability required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge:

1. Accounting and auditing principles and practices
2. Principles of governmental financial administration including budgeting reporting taxation and revenue.

Skills:

1. Ability to operate computers and various software programs.
2. Strong Excel skills a must. Fixed Asset Software exposure desirable.

Abilities:

1. Examining and verifying financial documents and reports
2. Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
3. Prepare a variety of financial statements reports and analyses.
4. Supervise train and evaluate clerical and technical employees.
