Staff Accountant

We are seeking a motivated detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys problem-solving takes ownership of their work and follows tasks through to completion. This position is responsible for processing cancellations posting ACH transactions reviewing Contracts in Transit (CIT) reconciling accounts researching discrepancies and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.

We are willing to train the right candidate. Previous automotive accounting experience is a plus but not required.

• Process cancellation requests accurately and timely.
• Post and reconcile ACH banking transactions.
• Review and manage Contracts in Transit (CIT).
• Research and resolve funding payment and accounting discrepancies.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank activity.
• Monitor outstanding items and ensure timely follow-up.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments lenders vendors and customers as needed.
• Assist with month-end closing and other accounting functions.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Identify issues and proactively work toward solutions.

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related field preferred but not required
• Previous accounting bookkeeping AR/AP banking or office administration experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
