Staff Accountant - Revenue

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To ensure accuracy of financial data; to maintain and analyze data; to prepare monthly financial reports journal entries and general ledger (GL) account reconciliation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Reconciles sub-ledgers to GL; prepares monthly journal entries and GL accounts.
Assists in month-end close and consolidation process financial report and audit process.
Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as directed.
Maintains and analyzes balance sheet accounts and ensures they are accurately stated; conducts timely account reconciliations.
Performs client audits and reporting.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports the organizations quality program(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelors degree from accredited college or university or equivalent preferred. Accounting courses preferred.

Experience

Four (4) years accounting and/or financial analysis experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required.

Strong oral and written communication skills
PC literate including Microsoft Office products
Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
Analytical and interpretive skills
Good detail orientation
Strong organizational skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and multi task
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

WORK ENVIRONMENT
