Staff Accountant (Non-Profit)

Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a missiondriven nonprofit organization to identify a Staff Accountant to support core accounting and financial operations. This role is wellsuited for an earlycareer accounting professional interested in working in a purposedriven environment.

• Assist with general ledger accounting journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support monthend and yearend close processes
• Assist with fund accounting including tracking restricted and unrestricted funds
• Prepare financial schedules and internal reports
• Support accounts payable accounts receivable and grantrelated transactions
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and organizational policies

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
• 13 years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience a plus)
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting systems
• Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
• Interest in supporting a missionfocused organization
