Job Summary
Scope of WorkAccountable for accounting assignments of financial transactions within limits of delegated functions in general accounting payables receivables and job cost. This includes the reconciliation of financial records and databases to ensure timely and accurate reporting of licensing permits and bonding of projects consistent with accounting and Company policies procedures and the confidentiality of corporate records and protects the corporate assets employee records and any other written manuals procedures or computer information deemed to be Company property. Position reports to the Financial Accounting for timely and accurate reconciliation/reporting of all CIP Projects licensing permits and bonding requirements of all jobs and service work. Assists management with federal and state audits. Provides backup for related Staff Accountant position. Performs special assignments for management. Position RequirementsUses Gaylor Performance Values as tools to carry out all job with other Staff Accountants performs a variety of accounting tasks and analysis. Will be accountable for the performance of specific tasks assigned to each Staff Accountant respectively but also cross-trained and familiar with all tasks performed by other Staff to be performed in the event of Staffs absence. Requires flexibility to adjust responsibilities as needed. Currently these tasks include:Report hours for all CIP all vendors onsite to the related CIP all licensing requirements for the company and electrical staff necessary to perform contracted all job requirements for to notices from operational Permits per regulatory required level of technical Audit Prepares work papers for auditors and provides general audit accounting tasks assigned from time to time by : 3-5 years experience in construction licensingExperience: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with others and maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word Excel etc.). Familiarity with various computerized accounting packages. Knowledge and experience with internal and external payroll processing as well as knowledge of payroll tax regulations.
