Job Summary

Summary

Performs a variety of accounting duties including recording financial transactions and journal entries. Reconciles balance sheet accounts and assists in the preparation of financial statements and analyses for management review. Assists in the production of monthly Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial reporting packages. Ensures all journal entries are recorded and monthly reconciliations are complete within appropriate deadlines.

Job Functions

Perform routine accounting activities including journal entry preparation and postings.

Assist with accruals and reclassifications needed during the month-end close.

Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.

Research and resolve basic accounting discrepancies and reconcile items. Escalate more complex issues.

Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with policies and GAAP.

Partner with senior accountants to complete closing tasks and resolve issues.

Assists in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.

Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements generating financial reports and summaries for management review.

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing financial data.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Ensures compliance with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in accounting or a related field (Required)

One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

2 years of experience in accounting finance or a related field (Required)

Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality tact and diplomacy.

Work assignments are varied and sometimes require interpretation.

Strong attention to detail and self-directed to consistently ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Uphold ethical principles by maintaining confidentiality ensuring informed consent and making decisions that prioritize the well-being of both patients and staff.

Work seamlessly within diverse teams bringing together professionals from various disciplines to provide patient-centered care and achieve collective goals.

Ensures their work aligns with regulatory standards and company policies.

Makes decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation.

Addresses basic to moderately complex administrative and operational challenges.

Applies comprehensive knowledge skills and practices to perform a variety of assignments in Accounting.

Fully functioning capacity/ working knowledge of Accounting and GAAP.

Works on assignments within a process or set of processes of moderate size scope diversity and/or complexity.

Performs work thoroughly in a cost-efficient manner and at a high productivity level.

Intermediate proficiency and experience using the Microsoft Office Package (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook).

Salary Range: $28.90/hour - $47.71/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
